본교 영어학교는 X-Mas 방학을 마치고 지난 1월 8일(월) 개학을 하였다. 그 사이, 재학생은 계속증가하고 있고, 증설된 초등1학년 교실을 새로 단장하였으며, 증설된 초등1학년은 신규 부임한 Mrs. Karen Kam (Canada Ontario 에서 교사자격 취득)이 담임을 맡게 되는 등 여러 가지 변화가 있었습니다. (자세한 내용은 아래 본문 참조) Our second term started on Monday, 8 January and with the first day back at school after the Christmas holidays came many changes: ·Our enrollment continues to increase. Eleven students enrolled for the first time in KIS and six students whose applications were accepted decided for personal reasons to delay their first day of school until February. · A second grade 1 class opened in Room 201 which was renovated. There are ten students enrolled in this class and another two students are expected in February. · Mrs. Karen Kam, a Canadian trained in Ontario, joined the staff as the new grade 1 teacher. · Our Lower Grade 1 and Grade 2 classes exchanged classrooms so that the class with the higher enrollment now has the larger floor space. · The teachers of Korean and Mandarin languages moved to larger classrooms to accommodate their increases in enrollment. Change can generate anxiety but I am please to report that these changes have been carried out smoothly and the students and teachers involved are happy with their new surroundings. - William May Principal
