Last week twenty-five students from the Hong Kong Institute of Education visited the English Section of KIS.
These students were in their second year of a four-year, full-time Bachelor of Education(Honors) programme specializing in primary education. Their majors were in a wide range of subjects, namely General Studies, Chinese, Music, English, Art, Physical Education and Mathmatics.
The purpose of the students' visit was to familiarize themselves with international schools-how they are organized and how native-English speaking teachers trained overseas teach different subjects.
Many of the students left KIS envious of the leaning situation we provide in our primary classes.
EBENEZER SCHOOL FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED
Nine member of staff were guests of Dr. Simon Leung, the Principal of Ebenezer School last week.
The purpose of this after-school, visit to the Pokfulum campus was for the teacher to acquaint themselves with the philosophy and equipment used by Ebenezer's staff.
Enrolled for the first time in the English Section is a Korean students blind since birth. Both Ebenezer School and the Department of Education have been helpful with their advice and resources and our English Section staff are excited by the student's progress.
